Oral Antibiotics for Acne

You doctor may prescribe you oral antibiotics if you suffer from moderate to severe inflammatory acne. You doctor will also most likely tell you to use the oral antibiotics along with a topical treatment. Oral antibiotics help fight P. Acnes and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Oral antibiotics should not be used with topical antibiotics.
